Partners and participants

The ILMANKOS project is managed by EcoFellows Ltd. The project receives EU funding through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and national funding from the Council of Tampere Region.

The project's other sponsors and cooperative partners are: Kangasala Municipality, Lempäälä Municipality, City of Nokia, Pirkkala Municipality, City of Tampere, City of Ylöjärvi, Tampere Regional Solid Waste Management Ltd, Tampere Public Transport, Tampereen Sähkölaitos Oy (Tampere Power Utility) and Tampere Water.

ILMANKOS works in close cooperation with the region and target areas’ other stake-holders such as rental housing foundations, housing organisations, associations and adult education centres. All residents of the target areas are welcome to join regardless of their previous involvement. Actually, ILMANKOS hopes that, for example, immigrants would also join in the cooperation between neighbourhoods.

The project activities are guided by a lead group. The tasks of the lead group include monitoring the achievement of set targets, as well as leading the project activities. In addition, each municipality that participates in the project has its own project group whose task is to plan the project activity in that particular municipality and provide support for the project to ensure it gets off the ground.
